[The Lost Lake]

Well-thought-out

loved the reversal sequence with the soldier in the trenches.
The whole thing was really powerful and made you think.
Funny, isn't it, that the only thing certain about this life is death, and it's the one thing people just refuse to think about. Except people like you, who can even make a movie about it. Good job, and keep making stuff like this!

a ten and a five for you!

brilliant voice-acting, above all. Only thing is i found the prose, while humorous, was a bit excessive. Toning down the modifiers and adjectives and going straight for what you mean would help its flow. I understand the feel was supposed to be rambling and droll, but it was just a bit much. Great job regardless!

Hmm....

I find it amusing that anyone could possibly be offended by this, and I'm religious. It seems like you're attacking a personality that exists among religious types, not quite the religion itself.

For example, your atheist character is witty, logical, and seems to be a nice guy, but your christian character is stupid, obstinate, and he's got a funny accent. Like when he says, "Ah luk after MAH wimmens," i just bust out laughing, because you've got to be a bit more subtle than that! I mean really, why not say, "I think Christians are inherently illogical and stupid!" That's the only complaint about this whole short, the way that your characters are so...just so typical.

The atheist is just so likeable, and the Christian is just so annoying. If you're implying that there are these types of figures in Christianity and atheism, I'm with you, man, all the way. But if you're implying that all religious folk are warmongerers and ignorant, then I'd say that you must know some (pardon the profanity) godawful people. '_^

Could you imagine it, though? The President tells the public on March 19, 2003 that "we have evidence to believe that Iraqi men are mistreating their women, and we have offered sanctions and diplomacy, but they still mistreat their women, and so we had no choice but to bomb them."
"Erm, Mr. President, could you elaborate on the evidence?"
"Well, John, they're Muslims."
"Oh, I see. That...explains it."
Certainly just as factual a reason as any that have been given supporting this war. XD

In conclusion, very well thought-out, not offensive at all, and keep it up! You've got my support, I, a practicing Muslim. All I've got to say is, don't think so bad of us. I'm not sure which religious person inspired your Christian character, or if there was any person at all, but we're not all like that. Most of us aren't. Honest to God.

This is the most literary review I think I've ever received. I'm pretty sure you understood the flash, so I guess you're just joking about the personality that exist within religious circles as "stupid, obstinate and a funny accent".

an emotional masterpiece

great animation, great music, sounded a bit like the Lost theme in the beginning, but then it changed, so it's cool =). Only complaint i had was with the absolutes in facial expressions. The audience was all wearing huge smiles and they all had wide eyes, it was beginning to creep me out! But everything else was so well "orchestrated" that I have no complaint.
Thank you for treating my eyes and ears.

I honestly dunno why he didn't let go.. I guess the hunger inside him made him hold on to the Pizza until he realized that it would behis end. Anyways thanks for the review. :D

great as ever

awesome animations, good music, good plot (if a bit repetitive), but just who is that naked bluish human-thing? Also, sometimes, when Bitey is running, his arms and body look flabby, almost fluid. It's kind of odd - or was the look intentional?

nice...but...

cool animation, static plotline, not much happened, even though the world's being destroyed. I'm sure a lot of time and effort went into this, but it wasn't that great.
